Earlier today, Devon unveiled its plan for a new skyscraper in downtown Oklahoma City. It will be 54 stories tall, making it the tallest building in Oklahoma, 20th tallest in the country and 54th tallest in the world, according to News9.com. It will cost $750 million and is scheduled to be completed in 2012.
I’m really excited about it and it’s generating a great deal of buzz both downtown and in the community at large.

The Discovery Channel has a really cool promotional spot that they’ve been running for a couple of weeks. According to the press release:
‘I Love the World’ features some of Discovery Channel’s signature talent, including Dirty Jobs’ Mike Rowe, Man vs. Wild’s Bear Grylls and MythBusters’ Jamie Hyneman, as well as some regular people from around the world, singing along to the campfire classic ‘I Love the Mountains.’ Stephen Hawking even makes a cameo!
Last night as I was catching up on the new season’s Deadliest Catch episodes recorded on my DVR, I got to see it again a couple more times. It’s so cool and fun, I had to share it.
