Office Space

About a month ago, I talked about the move to my new office at work and shared some photos showing my old office before the move, my new office before the move and my new office after the move. Well, when I took those photos, my office was completely finished. Well, now it is and I wanted to share more photos of my office space (especially for my brother in Houston who hasn’t had the opportunity to come by and see it).
Now, I must tell you that although it may not look particularly spectacular to many people, my office has become quite a tourist attraction within my workplace. Not only is the newly renovated office space a novelty, and not only do I get a lot of foot traffic based on the location of my office at the end of a very long hallway (which I talked about in that last post), but my office set up seems to have captured a great deal of interest…
A look into my office from the hallway (with our new “fancy” temporary signage that we made using artwork printed on black foam core, which some people thought looked really nice and mistakenly thought was our new permanent signage, which is actually delayed).

Looking into my office from the doorway. Do you know yet what it is yet that has so many people buzzing about my office space?

Another view of my office from a different angle, in which you can see down that long hallway, which is much longer than it appears from either end. (Have you figured it out yet?)

Yep, that’s it! My workspace cockpit, with four computer monitors. That has everyone marveling. Actually, it’s two monitors each for my two computers — one a Mac for graphics work and one a PC for office communications and other network-based work. Even so, it’s four times as many monitors as most and it’s generated a lot of buzz and more than a little bit of envy.

Here’s one more view of my office from yet another angle.

Finally, you may have noticed in the second photo that I’ve added a new picture frame in my office (if you remembered what it look like from my previous photo). I’m particularly proud of this one because it’s a framed print of a special ad that I created (with the help of my colleagues) for our firm, congratulating and thanking the local NBA owners for bringing the NBA team to Oklahoma City.
We’re proud of that ad because our firm played a major role in the process and because we received so much positive feedback from the ad. I’m also really pleased with the actual framed print of that ad because of how nice it looks — this photo simply doesn’t do it justice. The frame itself is meant to resemble the wood of a basketball court. It looks really cool and the framed ad has also received a lot of praise from those who have seen it and from those who received it as a gift, including the owners of the team.

It looks even awesomer (is that word?) now that your walls hangings are complete. Love the basketball photo - it turned out great!
