I got nothin’

I’m coming up blank about anything specific to write this morning. I’m tired of reading, talking and writing about anything related to the campaign (even though I posted something last night related  to it); there’s a ton of stuff I could share, including some really good stuff, but I’m pretty darn sure that most of my six or seven readers are tired of hearing about it too. At the same time, we’re kind of in a dead zone with entertainment, so I don’t have much to share there.

Meanwhile, I’ve been unintentionally obsessing over Apple’s upcoming release of the iPhone 3G, new iPhone 2.0 software update that introduces many new features and the new MobileMe service — a significant upgrade of the .Mac (dot Mac) service. The software and service upgrades alone are exciting, introducting a feature that’s most important to me that I used to have with my Blackberry — Push technology that instantly delivers emails (rather than waiting for the periodic checking of email) — and also offering instant, continual updates of calendar items and contact information to all my devices, from my computer at work to my computer to my constantly mobile iPhone. And the iPhone 3G has the faster 3G data speeds which I’ve been pining for since I got my current iPhone and should make internet usage less frustrating. Plus, the new iPhone 3G is even cooler than my already cool current iPhone, which one of my daughters will inherit once I get my hands on the new 3G. As of this post, there’s a little more than 24 hours until the official launch; Karla and I will likely test the waters about lunchtime to see if we can get into the Apple Store at Penn Square Mall, but if the line is too long, we’ll just wait.

If that wasn’t enough to occupy my mind, we’re getting ready to move offices at work. Our department plus another department and several others will be moving from the 8th floor to the 11th floor in newly renovated offices. My new office furniture is already sitting in my new office (and it’s cool and I’ll share pictures of the whole experience this weekend or Monday morning). Now I have to concentrate on packing up stuff in my current office while still trying to get several projects finished. It’ll probably be a long day tomorrow getting everything ready while working around my workload; I have to have everything done before I leave Friday evening because the movers get started first thing Saturday morning. Sunday, my entourage (Karla, Sarah and Ashley) and I will go up to my office to set everything up and put everything in its place so that I can get started back on my project list first thing Monday morning. It’ll be a long and busy weekend!

Okay, so it turns I really did have something to write about. Lucky you!  :-)

You got new office furniture, but what happens to your current desk? We’re not going to have to figure out where to put that at home are we? Please say no! LOL
