Cal Thomas: Obama doesn’t qualify to be a Christian

Okie blogger Dr. Bruce Prescott takes issue with an essay by Cal Thomas posted by Baptist Press, in which Thomas writes:
Obama can call himself anything he likes, but there is a clear requirement for one to qualify as a Christian and Obama doesn’t meet that requirement. One cannot deny central tenets of the Christian faith, including the deity and uniqueness of Christ as the sole mediator between God and Man and be a Christian. Such people do have a label applied to them in Scripture. They are called “false prophets.”
Dr. Prescott counters:
Somebody needs to tell Cal Thomas and Baptist Press that Barak Obama is running for President, not prophet. … Someone also needs to remind Cal Thomas and the editors at Baptist Press to reread Matthew 7:1-5 and Matthew 7:15-27.
… Constitutionally, there’s no religious test for holding public office in this country. Obama’s running for President, not pastor or prophet.

It would seem to me that Cal Thomas and like-minded others are usurping the role of the ultimate Judge. I wouldn’t think that is the wisest position to be put oneself in. Fortunately for me and for Barack Obama, there is only One opinion that really matters.
P.S. Talking about “false prophets,” wouldn’t usurping the role of the ultimate Judge make that person a “false judge”?

There is no question that Barack Obama is misleading the American people and they are so gullible they are falling for it. The “church” of Rev. Jeremiah Wright is not biblically based. His main tenet is “liberation theology”. Barack Obama doesn’t seem to know much about his church. Either he wasn’t listening, wasn’t there, or was there and consented to what Wright was saying. In every case, he was being dishonest about his faith. In most churches I attend, as I tour and sing in different churches, I have never even heard of this theology. Sure, there are the likes of Osama Obama who refuse to acknowlege Gods words as written. And
true, like Russian Roulet, it will be a hit or miss into salvation or damnation. If you repent
and seek the Lords will, it will be a hit to salvation but on the other hand, a miss will spell eternal damnation.
Don’t be led by these false teachers and/or preachers who for political reasons, are willing and ready to toss the Lord under the bus. Yes,
I’m speaking of those preachers who will follow
Osama Obama to hell if they have to and take as
many members with him.
Remember that the Lord warned us of the last days that many would seek their lustful ways,
own understanding and false messiahs.
It hurts me to see how blindly many pastors are
so willing to follow Osama Obama even when he
says that he supports the killing of innocent babies and supports established rights to homo marriages…never mind if God calls it a sin and
said of such will never see salvations…oh, but
if Osama Obama says screw God, never mind him, he doesn’t know about sin, yeah, listen to me
Osama Obama, I have the answers. Let’s toss God
under the bus and nevermind what God wrote down
for us. I’m the great Messiah Osama.
