What’s wrong with America?

According to the pastor of Faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe, Arizona, what’s really wrong with America is that the men no longer “pisseth against the wall” — i.e. the men pee sitting down. While I think this pastor is speaking more figuratively than literally, his point is that men in America aren’t acting like real men, including most pastors in America, our leaders and the president of the United States himself. However, when it comes to Europe, he’s meaning literally as well as figuratively. He claims that in Germany, where his wife is from and where he lived for three months, there are signs in the restrooms forbidding men to literally pee while standing.

In this “insightful” video, the pastor expounds on the phrase, “him that pisseth against the wall” that is found six times in the King James Version — and only in the KJV. The poster of the video notes that “modern” versions of the Bible, including the New King James Version and my beloved NIV, “leave out this important phrase.” And we all know that the King James Version is the only true Word of God — [rolling eyes]…

If the pastor wants to discover what’s really wrong with America, he needs to look no further than his own mirror — just one of the many leaders who deceive, distort, misinform and/or infectiously spread ignorance and intolerance among the unthinking, unquestioning and unwavering masses of sheeple.

The sermon is hilarious, the guy actually believes this. He really enjoys saying the “p” word. I would not say this is what is wrong with America since Baptist preachers with “KJV only” mentality are having little impact on the society as a whole.

Deuteronomy chapter 8 describes the threat that would undo Israel - affluence would lead to pride and lack of awareness of God’s provision. I fear that is where America is headed. Too many laws and programs protect the “affluent” and not the underdog.

He’s got some “interesting” logic going on there.
